Selected Investments

In addition to value added engagements with companies, Converge Capital either directly or through CC BPO Investors, LLC makes investments with its private equity clients into companies that we have identified with high growth and return capabilities.  Our recent investments include the following:

2002:  CellzDirect, Inc. We made an investment in this company with the Desert Angels, an investment group based in Tucson, Arizona.  CellzDirect focused on outsourced supply chain services for the medical research sector and was acquired by Invitrogen Corporation in 2008.

2004 Performant Corporation (former Diversified Collection Systems, Inc.) (www.performantcorp.com).  We co-invested in this company after we led the recapitalization of the company with Parthenon Capital.  Performant is a leading Asset Recovery and Loan Servicing company focused on payment processing and government contracts.

2004 Accuro, Inc. (formerly Innovative Managed Care Systems, Inc.) (www.accurohealth.com).  After we led the recapitalization of IMACS by Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe, we co-invested into the new company (then called Accuro).  Accuro was focused on the revenue cycle management process for healthcare providers and payors.  In 2008, Accuro was acquired by MedAssets in a very positive liquidity event for Accuro’s investors.

2005 OneNeck IT Services, Inc.  (www.oneneck.com).  In 2005 we led the recapitalization of OneNeck by Westview Capital and in conjunction with the deal we received equity in OneNeck.  OneNeck is a leading ERP solutions provider.

2005 Giant Acquisition Corporation.  In 2005 we invested in an acquisition vehicle to acquire a public company with one of our private equity clients.  While the transaction was not completed, one of our professionals became a board member at the target entity.

We are currently reviewing investment opportunities and one of our preferred strategies is to bring transactions with high return potential to a select group of private equity partners on a proprietary basis and co-invest with them.
